Does not include bait minnows for bass. Walleye fishing is best from May through July and bass fishing is best in August and September.
Canadian Waters Trip: $425.00
Same as above, but is a 10-11 hour trip, including a stop at Pelee Island for licenses. (If softshell crawfish are desired, an extra charge is added, normally $35.00 - $50.00)
Perch Trips (August - October): $250.00
These trips include a 6-7 hour trip in which we will anchor and fish for yellow perch. Includes bait minnows for perch. A deposit of $100.00/day is required to confirm and hold your reservation.
What to Bring
SongBird Charters normally furnishes bait (nightcrawlers-small minnows) as part of its normal price. You may bring other types of bait. We normally have a small supply of walleye spinners on board, but most fishermen bring some of their own also.
Bring your Favorite Fishing poles and gear.
Dress for the weather. Mornings and evenings on the water can be cool. We have rain gear on board, but you may want to bring your own, especially if the day appears rainy. April and early May can be COLD. Bring warm and windproof clothing. Snowmobile suit for April works well.
Deck or soft-sole shoes, camera, sunglasses, suntan lotion, motion sickness tablets, lunches, beverages, cooler for your beverages and catch on the way home. We recommend that you have yhour fish cleaned at a commercial facility. The marina has a fish cleaning station near the boat dock to clean your own fish if you desire.
Please try to consolidate your groups tackle, lunches, etc. to reduce the amount of on-board gear. Large tackle boxes are not necessary.
